Completing Appraisals as a Manager

Manager assignment or Appraisals_Scheduler permissions are required to complete Appraiser steps.
Appraisals_Administrator permissions are needed for final sign off.
Once an Administrator starts an Appraisal you are a part of, you will need to set up and complete your Employees' forms before the listed deadline. This guide will give you instructions on how to do that.

1. Setting up forms
Before your Employee can fill out their Appraisal form, you will need to set it up before the given deadline.
To design a form:
- Open the Go To... menu.
- Hover over 'Appraisals'.
- Click the 'Appraisal forms require your attention.' banner.
- Select an Employee name to open the form set up screen.
- Add items for each section as needed.
You can re-order the form using the arrows to the right of the item entry. - Click 'Sign-off Form'.
The form will then pass onto the next stage for completion.
2. Accessing forms
When you are ready to complete a form for one of your Employees, you will need to access it.
To access the form(s), depending on your Permissions, you can use the Employee search or the User search.
3. Filling out forms
All items in the Appraisal form will provide a rating scale, a comment, or both. Try your best to fill out the form as thoroughly as possible!

Click 'Save' in the top right of the page to save your form.
Some items will provide guidance that should help you complete the form. To view the guidance, click the drop-down arrow next to the item Title and select 'Default Guidance'.
Rating Scales
To submit your score, select the relevant coloured square, type a number into the text field, or select the arrows in the text field to scroll through the numbers.
Comments
To submit your comment, type it into the text box.
4. Submitting forms
Once you have filled out your form, you need to submit it.
To submit your form:
- Click 'Complete' in the top right of the page.
If you have left any of the fields empty, you will be asked to confirm that you wish to submit the form with empty items.
If you have filled out all fields, you will be asked to confirm that you wish to submit the form. - Click 'Sign Off'.
You will be presented with the sign-off screen, containing a scoring summary for all items that were rated as part of the form.
To make changes, click the drop-down arrow next to the item Title and select 'Make Modifications'.
This does not overwrite any ratings or comments submitted on the original form. They can be viewed through the 'View Modifications' option in the same menu.
As this is the first of the two stages of data entry, the option to add a final comment will not appear, even if enabled for that Appraisal.
Are you a Multirater completing this form?
Since this is the only stage you will be involved in, you will be required to enter a final comment at this stage (if enabled).
5. Accepting completed forms
Once all the Contributors have signed off on the form, you may perform the HR sign off. If you accept the form, it is marked as Completed and can be reviewed at any time. If you reject the form, it is reverted to the form completion stage, retaining all contributions.
