Recording and editing Goals
Who is this article for?Employees who want to track their career goals.
Appraisals_Administrator permissions orManager assignment are required to edit other Employees' Goals.
Keeping track of where you are in working towards your targets is good practice for when it's time for an Appraisal. This guide will walk you through how to create and manage your Goals.
In this article:
1. Goals list
To access Goals:
- Open the Go To... menu.
- Hover over 'Appraisals'.
- Select 'Goals' (under 'Career').
You will be taken to this overview page:
2. Recording Goals
To create a Goal:
- Click 'Goals for...▼' in the top left corner of the view.
- Select 'New Goal'.
You will be prompted to enter a name, start date, and due date in the pop-up box. - Click 'Save & Close'.
Once created, you'll be taken to your Goal's notebook:
3. Editing Goals
To edit a Goal:
- Open the Goals list.
- Highlight the item row for the Goal you want to edit.
- Select 'Edit Goal'.
- Update the Title and dates as needed.
- Click 'Save & Close'.
This will return you to the notebook page for the Goal.
4. Changing Goal status
To change the status of a Goal:
- Open the Goals list.
- Highlight the item row for the Goal you want to edit.
- Select 'Complete', 'Pause', 'Cancel', or 'Resume'.
You can also delete the Goal from this menu. - Confirm your choice in the pop-up.
This will return you to the notebook page for the Goal.
