Recording and editing Development Plans
Who is this article for?Employees who want to set up a personal development plan.
Appraisals_Administrator permissions orManager assignment are required to edit other Employees' Development Plans.
Having a clear development path to follow is helpful to improving skills in the run up to an Appraisal. This guide will take you through the steps to create and manage your Development Plans.

1. Development Plans list
To access Development Plans:
- Open the Go To... menu.
- Hover over 'Appraisals'.
- Select 'Development Plans' (under 'Career').
You will be taken to this overview page:
2. Recording Development Plans
To create a Plan:
- Click 'Development Plans for...▼' in the top left corner of the view.
- Select 'New Plan'.
You will be prompted to enter a name, description, and due date in the pop-up box. - Click 'Save & Close'.
Once created, you'll be taken to your Plan's notebook:
3. Editing Development Plans
To edit a Plan:
- Open the Development Plans list.
- Highlight the item row for the Plan you want to edit.
- Select 'Edit'.
- Update the Title, description, and dates as needed.
- Click 'Save & Close'.
This will return you to the notebook page for the Plan.
4. Changing Plan status
To change the status of a Plan:
- Open the Development Plans list.
- Highlight the item row for the Plan you want to edit.
- Select 'Complete' or 'Reopen'.
You can also delete the Plan from this menu. - Confirm your choice in the pop-up.
This will return you to the notebook page for the Plan.
