Users who want to create new Actions.

Actions_Createor higher permissions are required.

Assigning tasks as Actions allow you to allocate them to your Employees within the site, with a deadline for completion. This guide will walk you through how to create, edit, deactivate, and delete Actions.

1. Actions tree

To open the Actions tree:

1. Open the Go To... menu.
2. Hover over 'Actions'.
3. Select 'Browse' (under 'Find Actions').

You will be taken to a list of all Actions on your site:

2. Creating Actions

To create an Action:

1. Open the Actions tree.
2. Click 'Actions▼' in the top left corner of the view.
3. Select 'New Action'.
   You'll be prompted to enter details.
4. Click 'Save & Close'.

Once created, you'll be taken to your Action's notebook where you can configure it further:

To create a Sub-Action:

1. Open the Actions tree.
2. Right-click the parent Action.
3. Select 'New Sub-Action'.
   You'll be prompted to enter details.
4. Click 'Save & Close'.

3. Editing Actions

To edit an Action:

1. Open the Actions tree.
2. Select the hyperlinked Title of the Action you want to modify.
   This will take you to its notebook.
3. Click 'Action Name▼'.
4. Select 'Edit'.

From here, you can change the Action Code, Title, Type, and Description.

To change dates:

1. Click 'Dates'.
2. Select 'Edit Dates'.
   You will see a pop-up modal with additional date options.
3. Make required changes.
4. Click 'Save & Close'.

4. Deactivating Actions

To deactivate an Action:

1. Open the Actions tree.
2. Right-click the Action you want to deactivate.
3. Select 'Deactivate'.
   You'll be prompted to confirm that you want to go ahead.
4. Click 'Deactivate'.

Deactivated Actions will still appear in the Actions list if the correct filters are selected. Deactivating an Action will also deactivate all children Sub-Actions.

5. Deleting Actions

To delete an Action:

1. Open the Actions tree.
2. Right-click the Action you want to remove.
3. Select 'Delete'.
   You'll be prompted to confirm that you want to complete the request.
4. Click 'Delete'.

Deleting an Action will also delete all children Sub-Actions.
