Creating and managing Risks

Risks_Createor higher permissions are required.
Risks are used to identify potential events that may adversely impact your organisation and analyse their likelihood and impact. This article will provide step-by-step instructions for how to define new and manage existing Risks.

1. Risks list
To open the Risks list:
- Open the Go To... menu.
- Hover over 'Risks'.
- Select 'Browse' (under 'Find Risks').
You will be taken to a list of all Risks on your site:
2. Creating Risks
To create a Risk:
- Open the Risks list.
- Click 'Risks▼' in the top left corner of the view.
- Select 'New Risk'.
You'll be prompted to enter details and select a Risk Matrix. - Click 'Save & Close'.
Once created, you'll be taken to your Risk's notebook where you can set up Risk Assessments:
To create a Sub-Risk:
- Open the Risks list.
- Right-click the parent Risk.
- Select 'New Sub-Risk'.
You'll be prompted to enter details. - Click 'Save & Close'.
3. Editing Risks
To edit a Risk:
- Open the Risks list.
- Select the hyperlinked Title of the Risk you want to modify.
This will take you to its notebook. - Click 'Risk Name▼'.
- Select 'Edit Code, Title & Description'.
From here, you can change the Risk Code, Title, Type, and Description.
4. Deactivating Risks
To deactivate a Risk:
- Open the Risks list.
- Right-click the Risk you want to deactivate.
- Select 'Deactivate'.
You'll be prompted to confirm that you want to go ahead. - Click 'Deactivate'.
Deactivated Risks will still appear in the Risks list if the correct filters are selected. Deactivating a Risk will also deactivate all children Sub-Risks.
To reactivate an item, follow the steps above and select 'Reactivate' from the menu.
5. Deleting Risks
To delete a Risk:
- Open the Risks list.
- Right-click the Risk you want to remove.
- Select 'Delete'.
You'll be prompted to confirm that you want to complete the request. - Click 'Delete'.
Deleting a Risk will also delete all children Sub-Risks.
