Citrix Support for Risk Management
Who is this article for?Users who is looking for information about using the software with Citrix.
No elevated access or permissions are required.
This article will explain what Citrix is and what our recommendation is for using it to access the software.
1. Citrix
Citrix is a virtualisation software which allows organisations to publish physical and virtual desktop applications from anywhere. i.e. Office, Home or Mobile devices.
This means that users using their machines simultaneously access Citrix just as if there were all gaining access to another persons machine.
This allows those uses to simultaneously utilise the resources of the central machine as if it were their own.
When using Citrix, users are not using programs that are loaded on their machines, they are using their own machines to access another machine which has the programs the users require. Files created in Citrix will only be accessible to those users through Citrix, those files are not stored on their local machine.
2. Ideagen Risk and Citrix
Ideagen Risk Management is not designed, nor supported, to be run on virtualisation software like Citrix.
Although our customers can use Ideagen Risk Management on a Citrix environment, please consider that running the software in this way can cause additional issues that do not typically occur when running the application locally.
These issues can be caused by changes made to a Citrix instance, which is not visible nor controlled by Ideagen Risk Management. Because of this we recommend that customers do not use Citrix for Ideagen Risk Management.
