Impact and Likelihood Column Overview
Only the cells corresponding to the Risk's current status are colours to enable quick recognition. These graphics seen on the Risk Browser and Search pages or from a Risk Query take the form of the row and column from the Risk's matrix which correspond to the current Impact and Likelihood values. This allows you to quickly see the current status of the Risk, and how any potential change will affect it. If a Risk uses a target it is respected by a dark grey bar.
The example below is from a 4x4 Risk Matrix.
Impact Results Graphic on the Left and Likelihood Results Graphic on the Right.
Impact
The white dot indicates the impact is set to the 3rd box in the Matrix. In this example, only the Yellow colour will appear as that is the colour the Impact is currently set to. Any other box that corresponds to that Risk status will also appear.
In this example it is both Yellow boxes equal an 'Warning' status. Because the Green boxes equal an 'ok' status, they will be greyed out in the graphic that appears in the Impact column.
If the Risk Matrix has been set-up where different colours equally to the same status, in the impact line, this is the only exception when multiple colours will appear in the impacts graphic.
In this example, both hues of Green is equal to an 'ok' status and therefore correspond with one another, so both colours will appear.
Likelihood
Imagine flipping the Likelihood Graphic in the Likelihood column horizontally this will give you the Likelihood results. The white dot to indicate the likelihood is set to the 1st box in the Matrix.
In this example it is because both Yellow boxes equal an 'Warning' status. Because the Orange Boxes equal an 'High Risk' status, they will be greyed out in the graphic that appears in the Impact column.
Target Line
When a Target Assessment has been added to a Risk this will appear on the Graphic as a Dark Grey Line. The white dot indicates the impact is set to the 2nd box on the Target Probability line and the 1st box on the Target Likelihood line in the Matrix.
If you look at the Impact Graphic on the left a dark grey line has appeared, it is this line that represents the Target Assessment set again that Risk. It has not appeared in the Likelihood Graphic (on the right) because the Target has been achieved.
