Reporting on activity using the Audit Trail

Site Admin permissions are required.
Audit Trail is a feature that lets you report on events that happened on your site within the last 180 days. This guide will show you how to get the most out of it.

1. Accessing the Audit Trail
Go To... menu
To access the Audit Trail:
- Open the Go To... menu.
- Hover over 'Site Admin' at the bottom of the menu.
- Select 'Audit Trail' (under 'Site Options').
You will be taken to the Audit Trail view:

You can also access the Audit Trail at an item-level, by clicking on its Title and selecting 'Audit Trail'.
Using this method will automatically filter the Audit Trail to show recorded events for that item only.
2. Filtering events
Audit Trail gives you access to a selection pre-set filters to help you find records on specific events or specific Users:
As an example, to search for log in events from the day before for a certain User:
- Click 'User▼'.
- Select 'User'.
- Search for the name of the person you'd like to see records for.
- Choose their name from the results.
- Click 'Date▼'.
- Select 'Yesterday'.
- Choose 'Log In' from the 'User Access' filter section.
You will be able to see when the selected person logged in on the previous day:
3. Saving event audits
To save a query, generate your Audit Trail by selecting the required filters, then bookmark the generated Trail or add it to your Site Admin Portal for quick access.
In Classic, you can save your queries directly in the client.
