Completing Appraisals as an Employee
Who is this article for?Employees who need help accessing and completing their Appraisals.
No elevated access or permissions are required.
Once your Manager starts an Appraisal you are a part of, you will need to complete your form before the listed deadline. This guide will take you through the steps to help you do that.
In this article:
1. Viewing Appraisal items
Before filling out your Appraisal form, you may want to review your personal progress.
To view your Journal Entries, Goals, and Development Plans:
- Log in to Ideagen Risk Management.
- Open the Go To... menu.
- Hover over 'Appraisals'.
- Select the item list you'd like to review.
Alternatively, you can access all Appraisals items by selecting the 'Appraisals' tab in the User notebook.
2. Accessing forms
When you are ready to complete your form, you will need to access it.
To access your form:
- Open the Go To... menu.
- Hover over 'Appraisals'.
- Select the 'Appraisal forms requiring your attention.' banner.
- Click 'Open Form' next to the Appraisal you need to complete.
You will see the deadline for the form next to the link.
You will be taken to the form that has been set up and signed off by your Manager:
You can also access it from the 'Appraisals' tab in your User notebook.
3. Filling out forms
All items in the Appraisal form will provide a rating scale, a comment, or both. Try your best to fill out the form as thoroughly as possible!
Need to come back later?
Click 'Save' in the top right of the page to save your form.
Some items will provide guidance that should help you complete the form. To view the guidance, click the dropdown arrow next to the item Title and select 'Default Guidance'.
Rating Scales
To submit your score, select the relevant coloured square, type a number into the text field, or select the arrows in the text field to scroll through the numbers.
Comments
To submit your comment, type it into the text box.
4. Submitting forms
Once you have filled out your form, you need to submit it.
To submit your form:
- Click 'Complete' in the top right of the page.
If you have left any of the fields empty, you will be asked to confirm that you wish to submit the form with empty items.
If you have filled out all fields, you will be asked to confirm that you wish to submit the form. - Click 'Sign Off'.
You will be presented with the sign-off screen, containing a scoring summary for all items that were rated as part of the form.
To make changes, click the dropdown arrow next to the item Title and select 'Make Modifications'.
This does not overwrite any ratings or comments submitted on the original form. They can be viewed through the 'View Modifications' option in the same menu.
