Configuring Default Visibility for your site

Site Admin permissions are required.
Default Visibility Role is a feature that automatically adds a User or Role to an Ownership for items. This guide will walk you through the steps on how to set it up.

1. General Options view
To access General Options:
- Open the Go To... menu.
- Hover over 'Site Admin' at the bottom of the menu.
- Select 'General' (under 'Site Options').
You will be taken to a page with a list of various site options.
2. Configuring Default Visibility
To configure Default Visibility:
- Go to General Options view.
- Select 'Default Visibility' from the list on the left.
- Click 'Default Visibility▼'
- Select 'Edit'.
You will see a pop-up modal with all available Roles. - Highlight the Role you want to assign the 'Also Visible To' Ownership by default.
- Click 'Save & Close'.
You will be able to see your setting on the overview page once it refreshes:
To disable the feature, go through the steps again and select 'Remove Default' in the pop-up.
2. Configuring Action Types
To set Default Ownerships for each Action Type, visit the Action Settings.
3. Configuring Feedback Types
To set Default Ownerships for each Feedback Type:
- Open Classic.
- Navigate to 'Feedback Types' (under the Feedback Topic button).
- Select a Feedback Type.
- Expand the 'Default Ownership' panel.
- Select the dots next to the Ownership you want to configure.
You will see a pop-up where you will be able to add Users and Roles. - Confirm your choices by clicking 'OK'.
- Click 'Save'.
