Customising colours on a Risk Matrix

Customising the colours for your Risk Matrix is easy and can be done in Classic. This guide will take you through the steps on how to do that!

1. Selecting a Matrix
To select a Matrix:
- Open the Classic application.
- Click the 'Risk' topic button.
- Select 'Risk Matrices'.
You will be taken to the list of all created Matrices. Open the Matrix you'd like to edit.
2. Editing colours (Presets)
To edit colours using presets:
- Navigate to the 'Assessments' tab.
- Highlight the Assessment you want to modify.
- Click the 'Colour' swatch at the bottom.
You will be presented with a dropdown menu with various presets. - Select an option from 'Reds' to 'Greys & Blacks' to show more granular colour presets.
- Choose the colour you want to apply.
3. Editing colours (RGB Slider)
Need the Matrix colours to reflect your branding? No problem!
To edit colours using a slider:
- Navigate to the 'Assessments' tab.
- Highlight the Assessment you want to modify.
- Click the 'Colour' swatch at the bottom.
You will be presented with a dropdown menu with various presets. - Select 'RGB Slider'.
- Set the 'Red', 'Green', and 'Blue' values.
You can do this by moving the physical slider or inputting the values into the text fields. - Click 'Close' once you are happy with the colour swatch shown on the right.
Unsure what the RGB values are for your desired colour?
You can use a colour picker to find out! While it is precise, you may see some slight variations between the colour displayed on the website and the colour displayed in the Classic application.
4. Limitations
When creating a Risk report, the following layout options can be enabled or disabled:

'Status Mapping' shows when you have the Current, Target or Original Risk Score field selected.
You can tick 'Text' or 'Background' to colour the appropriate part of the field to match the current risk RAG status.
This is designed to match the Risk Scores' default colour and will not reflect custom colours for that Risk score.
The default colours are:
- Alert - Red
- High Risk - Amber
- Warning - Yellow
- OK - Green
- Unknown - Blue
