Using Reports in Browser

The functionality for Reports in Browser allows you to create Portal components to list User owned Reports so they can be generated without having to open Classic.
Reports and Report Layouts cannot be created or edited in Browser.
Report Portal Components
There are two types of Report Portal components available, these are:
Reports by Ownership
This component will list all Reports where the user is listed in the 'Owned By' or 'Can also see' field either directly or though inherited Ownership. The component will also only show reports with the 'Home page' option ticked in Classic.
As Users can potentially see a large number of Reports, the Home Page option helps you restrict which Repots are visible so only the.
In addition to this, by deafult, the component will only display items where the user is in the 'Owned by' Ownership, however, using the button below the component, a User can show 'Can also see' Owned Reports.
Reports by Query
The Reports by Query component works just like any other Query Component. Simply add the component and select which Query you want to use to drive the component.
Report Queries can be created in Browser by navigating to GoTo menu > More > Report Queries or in Classic by selecting 'Report Queries' from the Report topic button.
Note: Report Queries have the filter 'Only display items visible on the home page' added by deafult. You cannot remove this filter from the Query.
Displaying a Report in a Portal
Using the Embed a webpage component, you can embed an HTML Report in your Portal. Simply add an HTML format type to your Report and Generate it. Once generated, the Report will open in your Web Browser, copy the URL as shown below.

Paste the copied URL into the embed a Webpage Portal Component. This component be found under the 'Other' Component Types when editing your Portal Layout. For more information on editing Portals, see our Guide here: Editing Portal Layouts |
